The last election was due to take place on Thursday 7 May 2020 but was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The next election will now take place on Thursday 6 May 2021 on the same day as Suffolk County Council elections.

Several by-elections to fill vacancies on Parish and Town Councils have arisen in the Suffolk Coastal CLP area since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. These by-elections have been deferred until Thursday 6 May 2021 on the same day as Suffolk County Council elections.
